That’s a great idea about photo locations! I’ll have to try to add to my location database based on all the photos I’ve taken prior to live tracking my location. It won’t be great but it’s an interesting idea to fill in the gaps!

I use Aaron Parecki’s tools: Overland for iOS and I installed Compass server on my web server.
