Jack Baty wrote an excellent piece about the lack of follower counts in micro.blog and on the positive impact that has had on his engagement with the platform. I think this is an interesting look at what the open web/IndieWeb has over the “engagement/ad-driven silo platforms”. Definitely a great read if you have a couple minutes.
